If you’re thinking of applying for non-faculty jobs, it can be daunting to know where to start. What am I qualified to do? Which of my skills are transferable to other industries? And, most importantly, what do I want to do? In this session, we’ll discuss how to evaluate your skills, interests, and values so you can identify career paths that align with your personal and professional goals. We’ll walk you through resources that can support self-assessment and career exploration, including myIDP, ImaginePhD, StrengthsQuest, CliftonStrengths, and SkillScan. Participants will leave this workshop with a clearer sense of how to tackle the career exploration process calmly and strategically, and how to find career opportunities that feel energizing.
