If you’re considering applying for non-academic jobs, you’ll need a different set of materials in order to meet employers’ expectations and effectively communicate your transferable skills. In this session, we’ll discuss the key distinctions between an academic CV and an industry resume and provide actionable advice on how to make the leap from one to the other. You’ll leave this workshop with a clearer sense of what to include on a resume (and what to leave out), how to showcase your skills and accomplishments (instead of just your subject knowledge expertise), and how to tailor your resume to different kinds of positions and employers.
