–>Candidate registration and sign-ups begin Thursday, September 10th at 9:00 AM EST <–

This virtual Career Fair is open to on-campus and online SEAS students, post-doctoral fellows and all on-campus degree program candidates in STEM-related programs as well as alumni interested in internships, full-time positions and careers related to engineering and/or technology. Please note, this event is not open to the general public, students from other colleges and universities, Wharton MBA or Penn Law students.

Participating candidates will have the opportunity to connect virtually in 1-to-1 and group sessions with organizations seeking candidates for internships and full-time careers in engineering and technology. When organizations register to attend, they indicate the majors and academic levels of the candidates they’re hiring, the type of roles they have to offer, and their status on sponsoring international candidates.

IMPORTANT POINTS FOR CANDIDATES:

  • ADVANCE REGISTRATION and SIGN-UP REQUIRED FOR PARTICIPATION IN EMPLOYER 1:1 AND GROUP SESSIONS. Candidate registration begins TBD. Prior to this time, you will be able to view participating employers on the Handshake event page, but not yet reserve session times. It is HIGHLY recommended that you mark your calendar and/or set a reminder to register as close to 9:00 AM EST on 9/10/26 as possible, as some employers offer limited 1:1 and/or group sessions and you’ll want to be able to consider signing up for all employers of interest!
  • DAY-OF SESSION FORMATS: Within Handshake and through the event’s page, attending organizations may be hosting large-group information sessions (30 minutes each) and/or 1:1 meetings; please note employers also have the option to run virtual info sessions or meetings through another web-based video conferencing platform.
  • ORGANIZATIONS PLAN THEIR OWN DAY-OF SCHEDULES: Career Services does not dictate or have influence on the types or number of sessions each organization offers but makes every effort to encourage organizations to offer initially sufficient or even request they expand meeting times offered when candidate interest in high/all spots are filled.
  • 1:1s ARE LIMITED:  It is to your advantage to be prepared in advance (by knowing which organizations are attending and marking your “favorites”) and to register for your selected sessions as close to 9:00 AM EST on 9/10/26 as possible, for 1:1 times as well as group session spots are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please see these step-by-step details on managing your registration and signing up for sessions for additional information.

STEPS YOU CAN TAKE BEFORE SEPTEMBER 10TH TO ENSURE YOUR SUCCESSFUL PARTICIPATION:

  1. Update your Handshake profile completely as organization representatives will be able to see it; this includes all fields of your profile, especially your Skills and Job and Industry Interests. Carefully check the accuracy off your: graduation date, school year, major, GPA and work authorization; organizations may choose to set qualifications to engage with them and your accurate profile dictates your ability to navigate such restrictions. Consider uploading a resume.
    • Edits can be made by clicking on the pencil icon
    • For candidates who have not yet declared a major or concentration, please feel free to indicate your intended program of study.
    • For dual-degree candidates, please note only your “home” or first school is imported automatically to Handshake; be sure to add your second school and program of study as applicable.
    • Note to freshmen, transfer students, first-year graduate students, certain PhD students, and post-docs: if you do not have a Penn GPA, please enter the GPA from your previous institution or degree.
  2. Set your profile’s “Privacy” setting to “Community” or “Employers” or you will not be able to sign up for group or 1-to-1 sessions when registration opens.
