Project Manager, Environmental Consulting
Our Kansas City office is seeking a Project Manager to join our consulting firm in the Kansas City area. We are seeking a full-time hire who is detail-oriented and self-motivated. This is a mostly work-from-home position; however, the candidate should reside in the Kansas City area, due to field work, emergency responses, etc. We offer a competitive salary and a benefit package (medical, dental, vision and life insurance), a SIMPLE IRA retirement plan, and paid holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all tasks associated with environmental assessments, UST removals, hydrogeological studies, emergency responses, remediation designs, subsurface investigations, and monitoring projects;
- All manner of field work, including soil, soil vapor, and groundwater sample collection and sample preparation for laboratory analysis;
- Project deliverables including the preparation of soil boring logs, well construction diagrams, potentiometric surface maps, site sample and plume maps, work plans and reports;
- Working collaboratively with other project managers and field staff;
- Laboratory and hydrogeologic data management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in geology, engineering, or science-related field.
- 5-7 years of environmental consulting experience
- Reside in, or near the Kansas City area
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (preferred)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
