Peer Career Advisors

Ariana Bertrand is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences studying Political Science with minors in Economic Policy and Computer Science, while also pursuing a pre-law track. Her past internship experiences include working at the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, serving as a Policy Intern at the National Urban League in Washington, D.C., and tutoring students in Java at Code Ninjas in her hometown.On campus, Ariana is involved with SCUE, Penn Democrats, and WUPP. In her free time, she enjoys running, watching movies, and playing Subway Surfers.

Anna L. dos Santos is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences studying Political Science with minors in Latin American Studies and Data Science and Analytics. A first-generation international student from São Paulo, Brazil, she is a Benjamin Franklin Scholar and a Civic Scholar. Her past experiences include interning at Fundación Mediapila in Buenos Aires, where she built data dashboards for a women’s labor-insertion program, and program management with Jovens Líderes pela Paz in Brazil and Rebel Ventures through Penn’s Netter Center. On campus, Anna is involved with Penn Brazil Club and Social Impact Consulting. In her free time, she enjoys watching cooking reality shows, reading thriller books, and building puzzles.

Weining Ding (she/her) is a senior at the Wharton School, studying Marketing and Operations, Information, and Decisions. She has spent past summers working in marketing at YouTube/Google and in social media analytics at NBCUniversal. On campus, Weining serves as a Teaching Assistant for MKTG 1010, a Learning Assistant for the Wharton Career Readiness Program, President of the Women’s Club Volleyball Team, and previously as Multimedia Editor for The Daily Pennsylvanian. Outside of school, she enjoys watching movies, listening to music, and visiting farmers markets.

John Medrano-Torres (he/him) is a senior at Wharton studying Real Estate. Through internships in real estate development and originations, he has developed a strong interest in pursuing a career focused on public transportation-related real estate and transit-oriented development, particularly in the D.C. Metro Area. He also hopes to help fellow FGLI students navigate academic and professional opportunities and succeed in their own career journeys. In his free time, John enjoys learning about cars, tech, and Latino culture, as well as gaming and spending time with friends.

Brayden Pryor is a Junior in the College of Arts & Sciences studying International Relations and History. Brayden has a strong interest in government affairs, public policy, and the legal field. In his internship experience, Brayden has worked as a congressional intern in the U.S. House of Representatives, and as a legislative intern for two Florida State Representatives. Brayden is involved in several campus organizations, including the Forum for Legislative Action, the Foreign Affairs Review, and POLIS. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends, rock climbing, and reading.

Becky Tang (she/her) is a junior at the Wharton School studying Finance and Statistics, and pursuing a minor in Mathematics in the College of Arts & Sciences. She will be working in investment banking at Perella Weinberg Partners in New York next summer. She has spent past summers working in equity research, private equity, and commercialization on both business and industry sides. On campus, Becky is involved with WITG and Penn Beekeeping Club. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, watching crime shows, and trying new food spots in Philly with friends.

Anh Trinh (she/her/hers) is a Senior in the School of Nursing pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in Classical Studies. She holds a strong interest in pediatrics and adolescent health, inspired by her clinical experiences and community-focused work. This past summer, Anh was a nurse extern at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, working in their PICU and ED units. Anh also has previous experience studying abroad with MICEFA in Paris and exploring healthcare issues in Thailand. After graduating this spring, Anh will join CHOP as a Pediatric Nurse Resident.

On campus, she is actively involved in Student Nurses at Penn and the Asian Pacific American Nursing Association. In her free time, Anh enjoys going on walks by the Schuylkill River Park, engaging with Kpop, and playing tennis with friends.

Luna Wang (she/her) is a senior at the Wharton School studying Entrepreneurship and Finance. Following graduation, she will join Bain & Company in New York as a consultant after interning this past summer. Previously, she spent summers working in strategy at an EdTech startup and in corporate development at HII.

On campus, Luna is a Joseph Wharton Scholar, WH1010 Teaching Assistant, and Turner ESG Fellow, and is involved with the Wharton Undergraduate Consulting Club and Wharton Women. Outside of school, she enjoys cooking and discovering new foods in Philly, traveling to new places, and playing volleyball!

Nic West is a senior at the Wharton School, concentrating in Behavioral Economics and minoring in Urban Studies. This past summer, he interned in New York City with RBC Capital Markets’ Public Finance group; the summer before, he worked at Lionsgate in Santa Monica, CA. On campus, Nic serves as a WH 2010 TA Board Member and is a Penn Urban Leadership Fellow. Outside of school, he’s learning Portuguese, traveling whenever he can, playing volleyball, and watching competitive reality TV.

Amy Yera (she/her) is a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in Political Science and minoring in Law and Society on the pre-law track. Before transferring to Penn from Miami Dade College, she served as a Fellow with the Andrew Goodman Foundation, where she worked to increase civic participation and voter registration on campus. At Penn, Amy is Co-Editor-in-Chief of Sound Politicks, the University’s undergraduate political science journal, and a member of the Transfer Student Advisory Board, where she collaborates with students, faculty, and staff to gather data on the transfer student experience and identify opportunities for improvement. Originally from Florida, Amy enjoys spending her free time at the beach with friends and family.

Jenny Nguyen (she/her/hers) is currently a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in Health and Societies and minoring in Chemistry. She intends to pursue a career in dentistry and is passionate about advancing health equity, particularly for homeless and underserved populations in Philadelphia, where she grew up. As a Social Equity & Community Fellow, Jenny is developing a project focused on expanding access to oral healthcare while encouraging more Penn students to volunteer and recognize oral health as an important, yet often overlooked, part of overall well-being.

Jenny also serves on the boards of the Mayor’s Scholars Program, Pre-Dental Society, Dental Bridges, and REACH, and Vietnamese Student Association. In her free time, she enjoys filming vlogs, baking red velvet cookies, playing volleyball, doing Gel X nails, and collecting Squishmallows!
