Essential Job Functions (Duties/Responsibilities)
The Asset Management Intern will have the following duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Lead Asset Management activities for a portfolio of Structured product loans.
- Perform new loan setups including abstraction of key terms from legal documents and boarding of loan data into Enterprise database.
- Assist Asset Managers with financial statement entry and analysis of property operations compared to underwriting, borrower budgets, and stabilized projections.
- Assist Asset Managers with market research, review and analysis of leases, appraisals and other third party reports, and preparation of valuation models.
- Provide borrower support, loan administration and support on various ad hoc and special projects including production of data tapes.
- Prepare and edit financial reports for investors, auditors, and senior management; including but not limited to CLO investor newsletters, management reports, and rating agency reports.
- Effectively apply technology tools and software in assigned areas.
- Keep the supervisors informed of assignment status and progress.
Qualifications
Education: Satisfactory academic progress in an Accounting, Finance, Real Estate or related program
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Dependable and proactive self-starter with the ability to handle and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
