This is a hybrid role based out of Malvern, PA
CubeSmart seeks full-time Data Scientist Interns for the summer of 2024 to join the Data Science team at its Malvern, PA headquarters. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Data Science, the interns will drive significant revenue growth through advanced machine learning models, price optimization, advanced marketing analytics, and personalization that span all functions of the Company.

Responsibilities
- Support teammates for their needs in data processing, analytics, and modeling.
- Develop predictive models using regression and other machine learning algorithms, independently or on a team.
- Create and automate reports that deliver data insights and drive business value.
- Present analytical results to stakeholders that include, but are not limited to, Pricing, Marketing, and Operations.
- Actively participate in team discussions and collaborate on creating innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D. degree & preferred 2024 graduates) in a technical discipline or equivalent (e.g., Data Science, Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Analytics Engineering).
- Proficient in Python, R and SQL. Experienced in data visualization tools.
- Completed at least 2 predictive model courses that cover basic supervised and unsupervised learning techniques and fundamental regression and tree-based ensemble models (e.g., Random Forest, XGBoost)
- Experience with developing and/or implementing machine learning algorithms.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
