Through our Summer Internship Program, you will have an opportunity to share new ideas and creative thinking to solve our clients’ toughest challenges in innovative ways. The program is both challenging but also rewarding and will lay the foundation for a potential long-term career with Gibson Consulting. As a Summer Associate, you will:
- Take part in an intensive on-boarding and training program that combines classroom lectures with hands-on activities.
- Be paired with a member of our Consulting team, who will act as your mentor while you build valuable connections and friendships starting day one.
- Join an in-person Gibson team to witness our expert client support services.
- Undertake an independent project and present your findings to Senior Management upon completing your internship.
- Immerse yourself in different cultures while collaborating closely with clients worldwide.
- Have the chance to travel alongside your team for client site visits and supplier shows.
- Network with the entire firm at social events (sporting events, Chicago Boat Tour, dinners, etc.)
- Be considered for a full-time position with the team.

Summer Internship Requirements:
Gibson Consulting is currently seeking highly motivated students for our Summer Internship Program. This paid internship program will last approximately 12 weeks from Late May to Mid-August 2024. Summer Associates will work on projects designed to help them gain real-world, hands-on experience, working independently under an assigned mentor. We are seeking students who meet the following criteria:
- Juniors in good academic standing (GPA 3.00 and above) pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business (e.g., Accounting, Supply Chain, Finance, Logistics) and/or Engineering.
- An interest in consulting with some prior experience (internships, case studies, consulting clubs, or coursework) – Operations, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite programs (including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (experience with Excel PivotTables, Access databases, and/or data visualization tools)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Experience or desire to be client-facing.
- A willingness to travel (both domestically and internationally) up to 100% of the summer to support our clients.
- A passion for collaborative teamwork and a commitment to continuous growth and learning in a dynamic environment.
