RRS is seeking applications for a Consultant to work with new and established private sector clients as part of the corporate sustainability project team – both as a project manager and as a subject matter contributor. Subject areas that corporate team works across include:
- Sustainable packaging
- Packaging and recycling policy
- Circular economy
- Life cycle assessment
- Recovered/recycled material supply chains and end markets
- International and domestic market studies
- Technology assessments
- Zero waste planning
- Financial modeling and feasibility studies
Principal Job Responsibilities:
- Project management
- Work plan development and staffing strategy
- Delegation of project team roles and responsibilities
- Project planning and execution
- Effectively manage to scope, budget, and timeline
- Mastery of project management tools
- Writing well organized and effective deliverables and presentations
- Technical research, data analysis and information presentation
- Business development (i.e., proposal development, teaming on lead generation, attendance at conferences or client events, etc.)
- Development of subject matter expertise across materials and recovery systems
- Model and maintain positive working culture with colleagues and clients
Key Qualifications:
- Experience in packaging, materials management or related field; knowledge of materials or packaging supply chains a plus.
- Strong client facing and internal communication and teaming skills to work in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Strong written communication skills. Technical writing experience a plus.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, demonstrated ability to set work priorities and complete work with minimal supervision.
- Strong research and analytical skills, ability to synthesize information and effectively problem solve.
- Familiarity with life cycle assessment and carbon accounting a plus
- Comfort with multi-tasking and managing multiple projects.
- Comfort with demanding work and dynamic team environment.
- Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat and comfortable with learning new technology platforms like SharePoint, LCA software, teleconference/video platforms. Experience with Salesforce, FileMaker, ArcGIS a plus.
- Ability to Travel 10%-15% on average.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Four-year degree in natural resources, sustainable systems, engineering, environmental sciences, environmental policy, or related field.
- Minimum of two years of project management experience delivering projects on time and within budget. Consulting experience a plus.
Pay Range: $80,000-$100,000/year depending on experience and qualifications. RRS is an equal opportunity employer.
