Penn Letter Process (PLP)

Welcome to the Penn Letter Process for medical and dental school applicants!

Thank you for your interest in the Penn institutional letter process.  This page and its contents have now been moved to a Canvas course. If you are applying to medical or dental school in 2026 for matriculation in 2027, please attend one of our applicant orientations:

There are 3 dates for the Medical School Applicant Orientation, starting in December and ending in January.  Registration for the next cycle is now open!

• December 2nd, 2025, at 7pm via Zoom
• January 15th, 2026 at 7pm via Zoom
• January 28th, 2026 at 7pm via Zoom

There is 1 date for the Dental School Applicant Orientation

• December 4th, 2025 at 4:30pm via Zoom

If you have already attended an orientation and are resuming the Penn letter process from a previous cycle, please email Jialin Huang [jialinh@upenn.edu] to request access to the Canvas course for current applicants.
