The Nurse Extern performs a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN) in a complementary and assistive role.
Skills:
- Reads and writes Basic English with the basic skills necessary to transcribe physician’s orders
- Ability to listen, empathize and respond to patient, family, internal and external partners needs
- Basic computer skills
- Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.

Job requirements:
- Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of nursing required
- Current BLS Certification from the American Red Cross (HCA chosen provider) OR American Heart Association is required
- 1+ years of nursing school completed preferred
