Looking Towards 2024

Best wishes from the Career Services team to all Penn students finishing up papers and final exams as we close out the 2023 year.  We wish you a restorative and relaxing winter break after a long semester!  Our hope is that each of you are able to enjoy time with family and friends and a short break from an incredibly busy semester.

As we look towards the Spring 2024 semester, we are already busy planning the following career fairs. Mark your calendars for those that align with your career interests!

  • Spring Career + Internship Fair: Friday, February 2 (Houston Hall)
  • Design Career Fair: Thursday, February 8 (Houston Hall) and Tuesday, February 13 (virtual)
  • STEM Fair: Thursday, February 15 (Houston Hall)
  • Spring All Industry Virtual Fair: Thursday, February 22 (virtual)
  • All Ivy Environmental and Sustainable Development Fair:  Friday, February 23 (at Columbia University)
  • Graduate Career Consortium PhD and Masters Virtual Career Expo: Wednesday, March 6 (virtual)
  • Ivy+ Just in Time Fair: April 11 (virtual)

There will also be a variety of employer information sessions and workshops in the spring which you can find on Handshake, as well as thousands of job and internship listings posted for Penn students and alumni.  Take a few minutes over the break to update your Handshake profile (top right) to accurately reflect your current career interests and also your content preferences (top right on the Career Services website) which powers the personalized, curated newsletter each student receives on Fridays.

Although the Career Services office will be closed for the holiday break from December 23rd – January 1st, we will be available for appointments (including virtual!) before and after. In addition, following are some online resources to explore over the break:

  • CareerExplorer: Interactive career assessment to better understand your core strengths and your compatibility with over 800 careers.
  • Management Consulted: Provides consulting and case interview prep including 500+ cases, 10K+ case structure & math drills, 8 online video courses, and 11 industry primers.
  • Big Interview: Mock interview practice and recording tool as well as written and video curriculum covering entire job search and interview process, including negotiation.
  • Exponent: A learning platform to prepare for tech interviews in product management, engineering and more.
