Despite its name, a teaching philosophy is not meant to be purely philosophical. In this session, we’ll discuss how to articulate specific goals and learning outcomes in your teaching statement, and how to showcase your pedagogical effectiveness through concrete examples of classroom achievements. In addition, you’ll learn how to use the various components of a teaching portfolio, including sample syllabi, teaching evaluations, and assessments, to showcase your strengths and priorities as a teacher.
